My goal is to work word magic for you.
I know your work is important to you. It’s not just about writing pretty words. It’s about making every word count and weaving them together in a way that reflects you—as a business owner, writer, student, creative artist, entrepreneur—so your readers or clients can understand what you do and connect with your work, product, or service. My heartfelt desire is to help you realise your dreams by writing, editing, and/or proofreading your words. Think of me as your very own creative collaborator.
Whether you’re an author, student or business owner, you want your words to convey your ideas beautifully and succinctly. As the WordWhisperer, I’m here to help. I’ve been working as, what I like to call, a creative collaborator for the past 10 years. I help to put together the pieces of the word puzzle so that authors and writers tell their stories, business owners create prosperity, and students make every word count.
The writing journey
I understand that sometimes writing a book or an e-book, website content, opt-in, ad, blog post, book proposal, assignment, or thesis is a journey. You have an idea, you have all your research stacked high on your desk, and you have your own unique sense of you to put into it—and it’s all swimming around inside that beautiful mind of yours.
I can take you through the creative process (and it is creative even if you are writing for business) step-by-step. I’ve worked on theses, major parliamentary reports that recommend changes to legislation, manuscripts, e-books, and all types of marketing material.
I’ll help you navigate the waters of creativity to produce something that is even bigger, brighter, and ballsier than you imagined. It all starts with realising that communication begins with intention. With my personal approach, I’ll get you and what you’re trying to say.
My offer to you

My ‘unofficial’ bio
I am a creative collaborator, a word whisperer, an editor, writer, and teacher. I am an explorer of the inner and outer worlds. A wanderer of words and worlds. A hungry caterpillar waiting for the next transformation.
I have a knack for putting words together in just the right way, finding that grammatical or spelling error (that’s the easy part), navigating a way through the tempestuous waters of someone’s creativity, resolving conflicts on the page, and inspiring you to keep going.
I’ve devoted most of my life to exploring, chasing down my own dreams, learning this thing called the English language, and finding a way to fulfil my own creative potential.
When you work with me, you can expect a creative collaborator; someone who will get your vision; someone who will help you perfect your art.
And you’ll probably be surprised and delighted by the experiences I have had working with people’s minds, bodies, and hearts. I’m a trained Ka Huna bodyworker, an editor and writer with 15 years experience, an ex-bookshop owner, and a teacher. Most of all, I rejoice in words and love a challenge.
I’m here to remind you that you can be who you’ve always wanted to be. Sometimes we just need to step out of the way. I can help you do this by illuminating a path of exploration and creativity.
My questions for you are: what is it that your soul, your heart, cries out for? Who are you? Really?
To sum it up: I am your creative collaborator. I will whisper words of encouragement in your ear when you start to doubt, when you’re halfway through that second act and knee deep in the mud. I will write, edit, inspire, and inform you every step of the way. Most of all, I am a work in progress so those words I whisper for you will echo for me also.
8 things about me you probably should not know
- I’ve owned a book cafe and natural therapies clinic where I was lucky to have the opportunity to be surrounded by massage therapists and books everyday — it does something to your soul to have everything from Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now to Mary Oliver poems and great works of fiction at your fingertips.
- I lived on a rooftop for a summer on a Greek Island. It was all I needed. And it never rained. Really. It didn’t rain the whole summer. Thankfully. Otherwise I might not feel so nostalgic about the experience.
- Thinking about travelling to new places (even if it’s a suburb on the other side of the city) makes my heart skip a beat. I’m a wanderer and a wonderer, I guess. Exploring my inner and outer worlds is what excites me most about being alive–that and wrapping my kids and husband in a family embrace.
- I need to walk. Whether it’s a trek in the Himalayas or a morning walk around my neighbourhood, I need the space that movement brings me. Watch this space for my next adventure: the Camino de Santiago.
- I live in partnership with another creative – my husband, a musician and cigar box guitar craftsman. I’m so grateful for him and his support and that he gets my need to be creative. Check out his amazing work here: cigarboxguitarsaustralia.com.
